Volunteers are an integral part of the success of the Smithsonian American Art Museum. There are a number of ways to volunteer at American Art, either interacting with the public or working behind-the-scenes on special projects.
Docents conduct visits for adults and school groups of all ages at the Smithsonian American Art Museum and Renwick Gallery, in addition to presenting community outreach programs. If you enjoy discussing artwork with others, consider joining the docent program. For more information, contact email@example.com.
Spend the morning with seniors in Cincinnati and then chat away the afternoon with kids in California! We're looking for volunteers to inspire learners of all ages via our real-time, interactive videoconference program, Artful Connections. The ideal candidate will have a love of learning, with a special interest in language arts, American history and fine art. Videoconferences are offered M-F, 9:00-4:00. Contact Elizabeth Dale-Deines (DeinesE@si.edu) for more information.

For more information, contact NicholsS@si.edu.
