A bird’s eye view of Mt. Hoffman, one of Yosemite’s highest peaks, speaks of Adams’s reverence for the magnificence of our earth. He credited his first impressions of Yosemite as “coloring and modulating his life.” His images of familiar Yosemite sights have, in turn, influenced generations of photographers, professional and amateur alike.
