<< Untitled (#403) Vessel Gas Can >>

Dominic Di Mare gathers disparate materials—horsehair, feathers, hawthorn wood, linen, and bone—in a subtle, subdued work that speaks with a powerful and haunting voice. Both the materials and the form suggest an object that might be used in a healing ritual, but Di Mare does not explain.
The enigmatic quality of his work is part of its power.
