Modern American Realism: The Sara Roby Foundation Collection
By the early 1970s the Foundation had purchased an impressive array of works by leading artists and began looking for those characterized by innovation and stylistic invention. Roby and her advisors looked at artworks that explored challenging aspects of the human experience as well as witty images that acknowledge human foibles.
